The #SpreadKEDD Challenge
This four-day initiative is both a fundraising campaign and an effort to inspire others, foster connections, and bring a little more optimism into the world. That’s why we will be dedicating May 30 – June 2 to spreading Kindness, Empathy, Dignity, and Diversity, and we hope you will help us!
Our fundraising goal is to raise $20k by Thursday, and with your help we will be able to #SpreadKEDD to more GameChangers across the country. At a time when our society seems plagued by terrible news and divisiveness, we need GameChangers more than ever. Get In the Game provides young people the opportunity to connect across differences, and empowers them to work together to face the issues that stand between us head on. As our number of GameChangers grows, so does our impact. Each time one of them chooses kindness, acts with empathy, treats others with dignity, and celebrates diversity, they bring us one step closer to an inclusive, equitable world full of hope and opportunities for everyone. That means that your gifts will not only benefit young people who are seeking to change the game, but you can feel confident that you are investing in a better society for all.

“I think that if people showed each other kindness for 24 hours, people wouldn’t even know what to do. It would be so foreign, and people would really appreciate it.”

Why #SpreadKEDD?
#SpreadKEDD is about more than asking for donations; it’s about taking time over the course of four days to spread hope, take time to smell the roses, and encourage everyone to simply treat each other better. So, starting on Monday we will be taking to these social streets and standing on our email soapboxes sending out fun, easy ways to spread positivity throughout the week. With our goal being to simply make you smile, and inspire you to encourage others to do the same. Because part of what it means to Get In the Game is to remind others that we are most impressive as a society when we remember we are on the same team (because it’s true)!
So, check out our IG, Twitter, or FB next week for game-changing tips on how to spread positivity. Or, sign up for our emails if that is more your speed.
Oh, and if spreading KEDD through tips and inspiration on social wasn’t enough – be on the lookout for the announcement of the FIRST-ever Walter Family Scholarship recipient, who we will be celebrating from Page High School on Thursday! Not too many better ways to cap off four days of hope and inspiration than by helping a young person change the game in college, if you ask us.
