GITG Celebrates KEDDFEST 2025

The goal of KEDDFEST 2025 was twofold, for our students to introduce their service projects to the community and to broaden awareness on the importance of engaging in essential conversations about racial equity and inclusion. KEDDFEST took place on Wednesday, April 16th, 2025 at the David F. Couch Ballpark in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Youth were bused from Mt. Tabor High School to the event.  Attendees rotated between five “camps” throughout the day which included: College Camp, Fun Camp, GITG Camp, Hope Camp, and a Wellness Camp.  During the camps, students engaged in a full day of interactive activities including the AR/VR station "Traveling While Black," as well as diverse conversations and presentations pertinent to the acknowledgement of equity and inclusion in our communities.
