Kindness (kahynd-nis) noun: a type of behavior marked by acts of generosity, consideration, or concern for others, without having an expectation of praise or reward.
When we choose kindness, it sets off a ripple effect. Even a small act of kindness can ultimately result in profound positive change. At GITG, we are striving to change the world by empowering the next generation to confront issues of inequity with kindness and thoughtful, intentional dialogue. Each time one of our GameChangers chooses kindness, it brings us one step closer to a more diverse, inclusive and equitable world in which opportunities abound for all. They are changing the game.
This Giving Tuesday, you too can change the game by first choosing kindness. Funds raised will go towards enhancing our program and expanding our GameChanger community by adding additional schools and clubs. In our first year, we multiplied our impact 10x, growing from approximately 100 GameChangers to nearly 1,000 across four states. With your help, we will be on track to do that again by the end of year 2. Your funds will help provide GameChangers with access to technology, journals which are used to aid reflection and self-discovery, gear (t-shirts, masks, stickers, etc.), and experiential learning opportunities, as well as in-depth training for facilitators and program analysis and evaluation.
When you Choose Kindness and support GITG’s growth, it means that by the end of next year, 10,000 students will be empowered to create real and lasting impacts on their communities — future-proofing the next generation with diversity-inclusive critical thinkers.
We believe that changing the game begins by choosing kindness. You have the power to make a significant impact with one small act of kindness. Please consider making a gift to GITG this Giving Tuesday. Together, we can change the game for an entire generation.
The past year was momentous thanks, in part, to our many friends and donors who chose kindness last Giving Tuesday. To read more about what we have accomplished in the past year, click here.
MATCHING CHALLENGE
Get In the Game board member David Couch has generously issued a Giving Tuesday matching challenge. If we raise $10,000 by the end of the day, he will donate an additional $10,000, multiplying the impact that your gift will have on our GameChangers!
